Result of Long Form Population Census 2020 of Kaimana Regency

In 2022, exactly a decade of Indonesia's demographic bonus, BPS committed to fulfilling the mandate to conduct the Continuous Population Census (Long Form SP2020) with various challenges amid the Covid-19 pandemic. With the permission of the Almighty God and the hard work of all parties, the Long Form SP2020 data collection has been successfully completed. The Long Form SP2020 bears a great mission as a benchmark for Indonesia's population indicators, a portrait of Indonesia's demography after the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, an evaluation of development achievements in the population sector in the SDGs and RPJMN, and a basis for determining Indonesia's development policies towards Indonesia Emas 2045. Although conducted amid a pandemic, there were several innovations applied in the Long Form SP2020, one of which was the use of various data collection modes (PAPI, CAPI, and CATI). For the first time, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) was applied in the history of Indonesia's population census. The journey and results of the Long Form SP2020 are briefly presented in the booklet "Population Indicators Result of Long Form SP2020". This booklet presents a comprehensive overview of the population situation in Indonesia based on the results of the Long Form SP2020. The basic data coverage of the Long Form SP2020 results is fertility, mortality, mobility, employment, disability, education, and housing indicators. The provision of demographic parameters and population characteristics is expected to produce indicators for monitoring and evaluating the achievement of the SDGs and RPJMD targets in the population sector.
